Long-term Coaching Opportunity at Lincoln Moorlands Ladies FC
Lincoln Moorlands Ladies FC are looking for two students to help them with coaching and player development. Ideally the club and School see this as an opportunity for a long-term relationship, and so this would particularly suit a 1st or 2nd year student. This would allow the student to work with the club for multiple seasons, and might culminate in a final-year placement etc.
Students would be working with a head coach who is UEFA B-qualified.
Training is 7.30pm to 9pm on Wednesdays, but coaches would be required to be at the following location from 7pm:
Lincoln Moorlands Railway Sports and Social Club
Newark Road
LN6 8RT
Training is on the pitch under floodlights. There is car parking or it should be about a 20-minute cycle ride from the university using the cycle paths along Tritton Road.
Lincoln Moorlands LFC have an established East Midlands team, and are looking to retain a team in the county league (new this season). This means that there are opportunities to experience managing a team as well.
Ages range from 16 to 38 years old, and they are 20 to 25 players at training on average (with numbers growing).
If you are interested in these roles, please contact Cathy Thomas (cthomas@lincoln.ac.uk) or Sandy Willmott (swillmott@lincoln.ac.uk)
