Analysing Performance in Professional Football
We would like to congratulate a number of our graduates who have recently moved into new performance analysis positions at professional football clubs. All have demonstrated the importance of gaining skills and experience in voluntary positions, and have used these as a springboard into this very competitive industry.
Nick Benett (BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Science; MSc Sport Science) is Youth Development Phase Performance Analyst at Brentford FC after being a volunteer analyst last season.
Calum Johnson (BSc (Hons) Sport Development & Coaching) is a Performance Analyst at Brighton & Hove Albion FC, after being an U18 Performance Analysis Intern at Lincoln City FC. He will combine his new position with a Masters course in Performance Analysis.
Chris Bentley (BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Science) is a 1st Team and Academy Performance Analysis Intern at Milton Keynes Dons FC, after working as a Performance Analysis Intern at Lincoln City FC. |
Nick, Calum and Chris are successfully following in the footsteps of a number of our previous graduates. Adam Housley (BSc (Hons) Sport Development & Coaching), who returned to Lincoln to share his experiences with students at a recent Alumni Event, is 1st Team Performance Analyst at Rotherham United FC. Chris Mugglestone (BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Science) is a Performance Analyst at the Football Association, after working with both the U21 and Academy squads at Everton FC.
(Sorry if we’ve missed anyone else working in performance analysis. If we have, please let us know. Thanks!)
